Presidency School, RT Nagar celebrated its Annual Day ‘Kaleidoscope- 2014’ on 30th January 2013 at Tarala Balu Kendra, RT Nagar. Having won the prestigious British Council International School Award, the theme chosen for the Annual day was also an international one which was to explore seven civilizations and their marvels.
The show was divided into two segments. In the morning session, the students embarked on a journey to explore four civilizations beginning with India, moving towards the Pyramids of Giza, then towards Machu Pichu in Peru and finally ending with the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. While the evening session held the audience in raptures as the students portrayed the Eiffel tower in France after which they showcased the Great Wall of China and finally gave an insight into the Colosseum. Distinguished Chief guests graced the occasion which included Mr.N.R Nanjunde Gowda, Founder of Childrens’ India – an NGO dedicated in Children’s education through films. The evening session saw the renowned minister for agriculture, Mr.Krishna Byre Gowda as the Chief guest. The Principal Mrs.Indira Kothaneth, in her annual report presented the outstanding achievements of the school and highlighted the path for success. The show was also graced by the Chairman of the Presidency group of Institutions, Mr.Nissar Ahmed, the Director of the Presidency group of Schools, Mr.G. Thangadurai and Principals of the Sister Concerns. The show witnessed outstanding performances by the students especially the multilingual choir which rendered songs in 7 different foreign languages. Overall, it was thoroughly enjoyed and applauded by one and all.
