Presidency School RT Nagar felicitated its achievers as well installed its office bearers to the cabinet for the Academic Year 2018-19.

Mr. Hiryanna Group Head, GEOSTAT Programme, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bengaluru and Ms. Mekhala writer and winner of Karnataka women Achievers Youth Icon Award were the Guests of honour on this day.

The toppers and their parents were felicitated along with a felicitation of the teachers by the toppers.

The new office bearers were pledged to office after the formal Sash and Badge ceremony. The House Wardens handed over the house flags to the new leaders while the Principal pledged them to office.

The toppers in the address spoke of the need to plan their study and rest time. Stressing out has never helped anyone and will never do.
The Guest of Honour Ms. Mekhala encouraged the young leaders and achievers to do their best as the new world that awaits them wants nothing but their best. High achievers spot rich opportunities swiftly, make big decisions quickly and move into action immediately. These principles would be instrumental in making their dreams come true.

The Chief Guest addressed the assemblage and threw light on the wonderful world of opportunities that awaited them. Each had to do their best and the best would come to them. Achievers have an enabling attitude, realism, and a conviction that they themselves were the laboratory of innovation. Their ability to change themselves is central to their success.

The choir rendered the closing song ‘ God will Make a way’.

INVESTITUTE AND FELICITATION CERMONY – 2017

“Dream deep for every dream precedes the goal”
The prefect system at Presidency School, RT Nagar, symbolizes the virtues of leadership, integrity and discipline of the student body. The Investiture of Felicitation ceremony was recently held in the school premises. The solemn function began with the ceremonies lighting of the lamp and invoking with a melodious rendition by the school choir, Principal Indira Kothaneth and Chief Guest. Dr. V.S. Hegde, Professor Satish Dhawan, Professor at ISRO Headquarters, Blore were presented the guard of honor by the NCC contingent and the school council body as they marched with pride and dignity. The Chief Guest Dr. V.S. Hegde along with the Principal installed the office bearers by slinging the sash, pinning the insignia of office and handing out the house flags of pride to all the captains of the four houses. The principal administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers and urged them to honor the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them and lead them from the front. Mrs. Indira Kothaneth advised the leaders to accept responsibility and never to try to side step it and approach life with discipline dedication, determination and devotion. The school captain Aditya Prashanth and the vice-captain Akansha Reddy.

The Investiture ceremony was followed by Felicitation the annual report was delivered by the Principal.
The chief guest Dr. V.S. Hegde in his key note address congratulated the newly elected cabinet members and delivered a motivational speech to all our prize winners and special appreciation to our class 10- 2016-17 batch for scintillating performance in the ICSE Board Examination 2017, the chief guest advised the students to have hunger for learning, quest for exploring new thrills and be vigilant to grab opportunities in every sphere of life. He advised every high achiever to contribute their best for the development of their society and country. Prof. Hedge whole heartedly appreciated parents and the faculty members for their sincerest effort in achieving excellent results in ICSE Board Examination 2017. Dr. Hedge handed over gold medals and certificates of academic excellence to the toppers and achievers. Akshay. M. Koshy topped the school and secured 4th place in Karnataka state scoring 98.41% followed by Senthooran B scoring 98% stood the second place. Soujanya Hediyal scored 97.60%. The school average was 90%. 70 students secured an overall aggregate of 90% and 33 students secured 93# and above. Mrs. Indira Kothaneth acknowledged the stupendous effort of each and every class 10 student and teacher whose sustained perservance and determination helped achieved this. She thanked the esteemed parents for them initiated co-operation during their ward’s journey in Presidency. Academic toppers from class 5 to 9 were also felicitated with medals and certificates. The school choir gave renditions of melodious songs followed by a devotional dance by grade 8.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by the school captain Aditya Prashanth of std X.

The investiture and Felicitation ceremony was recently held in the school premise. The school inducted its new students council body to the office. The solemn function began with the ceremonious lighting of the lamp and invoking with a beautiful rendition by the school choir. Principal Indira Kothaneth and Chief Guest Mr. Paddy Rao were presented the guard of honour by the NCC contingent and the school council body as they marched with pride and dignity. The chief guest Mr. Paddy Rao, CEO of Sharada, LLC New Jersy, along with Principal Mrs. Indira Kothaneth installed the office bearers by slinging the sash, pinning the insignia of office and handing out the house flags of pride to all the captains of the four houses. The Principal administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers and urged them to honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them and lead them from the from. Principal Indira Kothaneth urged the newly elected cabinet to think in terms of ‘We’ and not ‘I’. She advised the leaders to accept responsibility and never try to sidestep it and approach life with discipline, determination, dedication and devotion. The school flag was handed over to the school captain, Akshay Koshy of the Yellow House and to School Vice Captain, Deepika of the Red House.

The Chief Guest Mr. Paddy Rao in his key note address congratulated the newly elected council of student body and delivered a motivational speech to all our prize winners and special appreciation to our std X 2015-16 batch for a scintillating performance in the ICSE Board Examination. He advised the students to have a right attitude in life since attitude is the key to all success. He exalted the students to reorient, think analytical and look around for situations that would help them empower their potentials. He said that one must go beyond the syllabus and that every parent ought to allow their children to choose what they aspire to achieve in life. Mr. Rao handed over certificates and medals to academic toppers and achiever. Prakhyat D Ullal who stood 2nd in the State and 4th in All India topped with an average of 98.40% followed by Bhavadharini Manohar securing 98 %, Balasubramaniam M. C came next with 97.20%. Our school average was 91.62%.
92 students secured an overall aggregate of 90% and above. Out of which 33 students have secured above 95%. We had 16 subject centums.
Principal Mrs. Indira Kothaneth acknowledged the stupendous efforts of each and every Std 10 student and teacher whose sustained perseverance and determination helped achieve this. The Principal exalted that , “A winner is not the one who never fails, but the one who never quits. The greatest glory is not in never falling, but rising every time you fall”. She thanked the parents for their unstinted co-operation during their journey in Presidency. Academic toppers from classes V to IX were also felicitated with medals and certificates. The programme ended with the vote of thanks delivered by the school captain Akshay Koshy.
