CISCE – KISA Chess – Nationals Competition

Presidency School RT Nagar, congratulated Nachiketh Adiga and Manya Villas Hegde of Grade 10 who represented Karnataka at the CISCE – KISA Chess – Nationals held at Punjab – Amritsar.Their teams were placed second and they received Silver medals and a trophy for the state. Congratulations Team Karnataka and our champions!

WINNERS AT THE KISA REGIONAL CRICKET

Presidency School RT Nagar won the coveted CISCE Regional Sports and Games 2019 and were crowned the Cricket Champions Boys U-19.
The semifinals were played against Mallya Aditi at India International School Ground. Batting first Mallya Aditi scored 40 runs in 8 overs while team Presidency RT Nagar  scored 41 runs in 5 overs. This saw them through to the finals which were much anticipated
The Finals were played against Vidyaniketan at the same ground. Batting first Vidyaniketan scored 86 runs  in 10 overs . With PSRTN batting , they made 90 runs in 10 overs with the last ball getting us 6 against the 3 runs needed to win .

Sports Achievement – At the 3rd The Hindu in School (THiS) Chess Tournament

At the third edition of The Hindu in School (THiS) Chess Tournament held at Army Public School, Bangalore on 23 rd February, 2019,Nachiketh Adiga won the first place in under 15 category
He received a Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 1200.

  • JOSHINMON KARATE-DO SHORIN-RYO International India conducted Karate competition in Srilanka
  • MeenalBalla of Grade 5 and Hariharan of grade 6 won 1st place in Kata and Kumati in both girls and boys categories.
  • KOKINO” International Karate Organization awarded the following students “Diplomo of Sho-Dan(Black Belt)
  • YatinSaiYedla——Grade 6C
  • M.Thambanda—–Grade 6C

KISA Cricket tournament
  • KISA CUP- held in the month of October 26th, 27th and 28th.
  • All the ICSE schools participated in the tournament. Our school entered the finals at the State level and were awarded the Runner’s up trophy.
  • Four of our students were selected for the National Level ICSE Cricket tournament which was held at Mumbai on 11th

  • Save the Tiger cup (Cricket) organised by Global Institute Bangalore on 12.4.2016 in which AamirHamza of grade 6 was awarded Man of the Match and special Talent Award.

Karnataka State Association conducted Under -13 Chess Competition in which ManyaHegde of grade 7 won 3rd Prize in Chess and was selected for National level

  • Karnataka state open fide rating Chess Championship organised by innovators Chess academy which ManyaHegde of grade 7 secured 2ndplace in Chess.
  • Karnataka State rapid Chess Championship organised by Bangalore North Chess forum which ManyaHegde secured 2nd
  • Karnataka State Blitz Chess Championship organised by Bangalore North Chess forum which ManyaHegde secured 1st
  • At 1ST HSM Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Innovator Chess Academy on 6.2016 in which Manya of grade 7 secured 5thplace in chess.
  • Bangalore north chess forum and BEL officers club conducted 9th Monthly Chess tournament in which ManyaHegde of 7th grade secured 1st place under -14 girls.
  • At the 8th ARA Memorial Inter School Sports Tournament -2016 organised by Little Flower School in which ManyaHegde secured1st place and NachikethAdiga secured 2nd place

We have a well-trained Air Wing NCC squad of 100 cadets (1 Karnataka SQN NCC ) under first officer Venugopal Reddy. Every year they participate in NCC CATC Camps. They also participate in trekking, flying, rifle training, swachbharath and Social service activities.

SPORTS – OUR ACHIEVERS

Promoting sports and games in curriculum has been an important objective for the healthy growth of the students, and keeping this in mind, they are encouraged to participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor games at school. Participation in interschool competitions is a regular feature.

Regular cricket and basketball coaching by a reputed Academy is arranged for both boys and girls. Presidency has initiated a scheme for budding cricketers in the country. The scheme is a long term plan to promote cricket among the youth and to facilitate this, the school has engaged a Cricket Academy to coach and shape the team.

A close relationship and partnership with parents is vital to the process of education. We look forward to partnering you and your children during the duration of their school years.

  1. MansiSatishIyer of grade 4 D was ranked 13th in Karnataka State Badminton Tournament issued by Karnataka Badminton in Association the Girls under 10 category.
  2. Our Chess wizards Nachiket and Maanya have won many competitions under 10 State chess tournament. MaanyaHegde of grade 4 secured the first position and NachikethAdiga of grade 4 secured the 5th position. State level Open rapid chess tournament 2013, Nichiketh secured first prize.
    At Bangalore Brain Games competition held on 16th November, 2013   Nacheketh secured 3rd prize and received a bronge medal and cash prize of Rs.500/-
  3. Our tennis players in the Singles and Doubles category. Prathiba and Pragathi won the runners up position in doubles and Prathiba secured the 1st position in the singles at the district level tournament. PrathibaNarayana Prasad also  has won the Singles under 14 title in tennis tournament conducted by Guts Academy.
    At the Lawn tennis Tournament conducted at Gopalan International School for 3 days starting from 24th October 2013 to 26th October 2013 in which many top schools  likeGopalan International Ryan International, Vibgyor, DPS , Shishugraha and Indus etc. participated, We are proud to inform you that Prathiba Narayan Prasad of Grade 7 won the Seniors, Juniors and Seniors doubles  and Pragathi N of Grade 7 won the Senior doubles and was the runner up in the Juniors category. They were part of the Karnataka team (under 12) which won the second place in the Delhi National.
  4. Rotary club recognizes young talents every year who are felicitated for their outstanding performance in academics as well as co-curricular activities. AbhinandBiju of grade 2 won this prestigious ‘Rotary Young Achievers Award’ for being an all rounder in showcasing his skills in acting, modelling, singing, dancing, etc. He received a certificate and a cash award of Rs.1000

  • In the Lawn Tennis Tournament, held in Sarla – Birla Academy organized by KISA on 1st and 2nd August, Pratibha won 1st Prize in Singles, Pragathi & Pratibha won 1st Prize in Doubles.
  • In the Lawn Tennis Tournament, organized by Top Spin academy on 2nd and 5th August, Pragathi won the1st prize in Singles,Pragathi & Pratibha won the 1st runners up prize in Doubles.
  • In the Lawn Tennis Tournament, held in Gopalan International School on 6th August, Pratibha won 1st Prizein Singles, Pratibha and pragathi won 1st Prize in Doubles.
  • Manya won the 1st Prize in under 11 category in Karnataka Satate Under – 13 Girls Chess Championship held in Maharashtra Mandal Hall, Gandhinagar, Bangalore from 8th to 10th Aug ’14.
  • Raksha & Sai Ashish won the 1st Runners up Prize in KISA Quiz held in Mitra Academy on 09th Aug ’14.
  • PSRTN won the 4th Prize in Volleyball event, held in Christ Academy on 11th Aug ’14, organized by KISA.
  • Diksha & Drishti of Grade 9 won the Doubles runners up prize in KISA Badminton Tournament 2014 held in Gopalan International School on 26th Aug ’14.
  • KSCA Inter Zonal Cricket match Under 16 Karthik – 9C selected – 6th September, 2014
  • KSCA under 16 cricket tournament 2014 SaiKarthik and Tushar secured century
  • All India Karate and Kung Fu Championship 2013- First Place Samita D. Rao

RUNS OF SUCCESS

Presidency has been the top cricket team of Karnataka since the last few years. The school has been the State cricket champions for 3 consecutive years and has also lifted numerous trophies including the prestigious Boost Cup, Cottonian Shield, BT Ramaiah Trophy.
